Bhopal 09 February 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Gulmohar and Karanj saplings in Smart Udyan today. Narayavali MLA Pradeep Laria and Rakshita Welfare Society’s Dr.
Breeze Tripathi, Ashok Hindustani, Saifuddin, Gunaditya Tripathi accompanied the Chief Minister during plantation. With a view to encourage the participation of the society in the activities of plantation and environmental protection, Chief Minister Chouhan, plants saplings every day along with social organizations, voluntary organizations and people active in this direction.
For the last more than 18 years, the works of service and improvement in the social sector is being done regularly by the society. The society is also active in the direction of Beti Bachao, women safety, environmental protection and social awareness. The society has planted about 11 thousand saplings in different parts of the state including Bhopal, Ashok Nagar, Lateri and is also continuously working for the conservation of plants. So far, the society has given free self-defense training to 19 thousand girls in the direction of awareness against sexual exploitation of children.
Ex-Serviceman Para Commando Ashok Hindustani has traveled all over India by bicycle as a Swachh Bharat campaigner. He has been working for 25 years with the message of Clean India – Healthy India, Beti Bachao– Beti Padhao and Plant trees – Save environment. For almost 5 years, he have been giving the message of giving wet and dry waste separately and also supporting the government to make polythene free India and Bhopal number one in cleanliness.
Sixty-five year old Saifuddin has been doing public awareness campaign towards cleanliness since 2nd October 2015 on his two-wheeler. Wearing the clothes with the message of cleanliness, he is spreading the message of cleanliness by traveling to many areas of the state besides Bhopal on a two-wheeler.
Importance of plants
Karanj plant is considered important in Ayurvedic medicine. It is also used in religious works. Gulmohar is considered one of the most beautiful trees in the world. Flowers blooming in big bunches between the leaves of Gulmohar, make this tree all the more attractive. In summer, Gulmohar trees are laden with flowers instead of leaves.
