Chief Minister Chouhan Paid Homage to Freedom Fighter and Journalist Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi on His Martyrdom Day

Bhopal 25 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan remembered freedom fighter and eminent journalist Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi on his martyrdom day. Chief Minister Chouhan garlanded his portrait in the auditorium at his residence office.
Ganesh Shankar 'Vidyarthi' was born on 26 October 1890 in Allahabad. Vidyarthi was a fearless and impartial journalist, social worker and freedom fighter. His name is eternal in the history of India's freedom movement. Vidyarthi was such a journalist who with the power of his writings made the British rulers lose their sleep in India. He supported and assisted non-violent ideas and revolutionaries alike with his pen and speech. In his short life span, he raised his voice against the cruel system. He was associated with revolutionary papers like 'Karmayogi' and 'Swarajya' and also wrote his articles in them. He was also the editor of "Pratap" newspaper. He had to suffer a lot because of his revolutionary journalism. The British government filed many cases against him, imposed heavy fines and he was arrested several times and also sent to jail.
