Suggestion to start Mukhya Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojana from April 2022

Bhopal 26 March 2022: In the first session of the Contemplation meeting of the Cabinet at Pachmarhi under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, discussions were held on Mukhya Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojana and on Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana in second session. Culture and Tourism Minister Sushri Usha Thakur gave a presentation on Mukhya Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojana.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Teerth Darshan Yojana started from Madhya Pradesh. This is one of the ambitious schemes of the state. This scheme of Madhya Pradesh has been followed by other states.

A suggestion came in the session to restart the Mukhya Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojana from April 2022. In the plan, the idea of reserving the buses and bogies of the train in case of less passengers along with the journey in the entire train was also considered. Suggestions were also received regarding taking senior citizens by air to pilgrimages to distant places. It was also suggested that all the ministers including Chief Minister Chouhan would also participate in the first Teerth Darshan Yatra to start from April. The name of the concerned district should be mentioned on each bogie in the trains going for the scheme. This will also facilitate the passengers and the people coming to meet them at various stations. Arrangements should also be made to conduct the first visit to Kashi Vishwanath in April and to take a holy dip in the Ganges along with the darshan of Kabir Chaura. Chief Minister Chouhan said that along with starting the pilgrimage, youth will be sent to the borders of the country under Maa Tujhe Pranam Yojana. This scheme is very effective to awaken the feeling of patriotism.

In the midst of the presentation, Chief Minister Chouhan, while citing the introduction of Teerth Darshan Yojna, said that in a meeting, an elderly man had said that although the benefits of many schemes of Shivraj government are available, once at this age, if we could go on a Char Dham Yatra it would be good. After this request of the elderly, the idea came to him that the government should make a plan to send the elders of the state on pilgrimage. Teerth Darshan Yatra was created after consultations at the state level.

Chief Minister's Kanya Vivah Yojana to be integrated: Same department will conduct operations

After listening to the suggestions submitted by the Group of Ministers related to Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana, Chief Minister Chouhan said that the scheme would be integrated. Only one department will operate the scheme. The couple will be given a certificate and household items like wall clock. The committee will work for systematic planning. Suggestions were received in connection with the Kanya Vivah Yojana that instead of funds, useful household items should be gifted in marriages. To ensure that the goods are of quality, a transparent system should be established by constituting a committee. Dates should be fixed by developing an annual calendar for organizing marriages. A programme will be organized in the coming April under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana.

In the first and second sessions, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Farmer-welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Kamal Patel, Medical Education Minister.
