Efforts will be made to connect families of Ladli Laxmis with welfare programmes
Bhopal 26 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there are about 43 lakh girl beneficiaries of Ladli Laxmi Yojana in the state. It is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh to have such a large number of Ladli Laxmis. The scheme will be given new heights to make these girls financially independent. Our daughters are leading in many fields. From May 2 to 11, various programmes will be held in the districts to promote Ladli Laxmis.
Chief Minister Chouhan was holding a discussion with his Cabinet Ministers today at Pachmarhi, a hill station in Narmadapuram district. Chief Minister Chouhan said that our Ladli Laxmis will become pilots, doctors and engineers. The state government will arrange the fees for higher education for them. Earlier, during the two-day contemplation meeting, discussions were held by the ministers regarding linking the families of Ladli Laxmis with the welfare programme. The Group of Ministers constituted in this regard apprised with the suggestions received during the meeting.
Ministers Vishwas Sarang, Sushri Meena Singh Mandve, Kamal Patel, Sushri Usha Thakur are included in the committee constituted by the state government with the objective of making the next phase of the scheme for the beneficiaries of Ladli Laxmi Yojana. The committee gave presentation of the suggestions received in the contemplation meeting.
Major suggestions received by the committee
- Skill training should be given to the Ladli Laxmis.
- Nursing trainning should also be given so that they are selected on posts like ANM.
- After the implementation of the scheme, the institutional delivery in the state has increased from 54 percent to 92. Cases of female foeticide have decreased rapidly. Therefore, full focus should be on the implementation of the scheme.
- The scheme is popular with the masses. Members of the beneficiary family should be connected with the scheme.
Apart from the Group of Ministers, other ministers present in the meeting also gave suggestions to increase the effect of the scheme. The ministers include Dr. Narottam Mishra, Kunwar Vijay Shah, Vishwas Sarang, Omprakash Sakhlecha and Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary.
The major suggestions received from the ministers in the meeting include providing training to the girls of the scheme in the field of general nursing, providing employment, organizing the Ladli Laxmi Utsav grandly, providing certificates of the scheme in the programme. Along with this, the ministers also gave suggestions to keep in constant contact with the beneficiaries of the scheme, to give them career guidance and to consider the new name of the new form of Ladli Laxmi Yojana, to form Ladli Laxmi Yojana club at the village level and to connect the Ladlis and their mothers with self-help groups.
