Bhopal 29 March 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has said that today 5.15 lakh poor people of Madhya Pradesh have got the pucca house of their dreams. Nav Vikram Samvatsar 2079 is going to start in a few days. Nav Griha Pravesh is auspicious on the Nav Varsha. Pradhan Mantri Awas will become a symbol of empowerment of the poor, empowerment of women and the strength of the rural economy. These will also increase employment opportunities in the villages.
Prime Minister Modi said that women have got ownership rights over 2 crore houses in the country through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Along with pucca housing, they have also got toilet facility, electricity, LED bulb, gas and tap connections. It will strengthen the participation of women in economic decisions. This is the subject of case-studies in universities around the world. Prime Minister Modi was addressing the Griha-Pravesham programme of beneficiaries in 5 lakh 21 thousand houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Madhya Pradesh today. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan joined the programme from Chhatarpur district.
Prime Minister Modi said that a lot of slogans were raised to remove poverty in the country, but the work that was supposed to have been done was not done. Now poverty is being alleviated with the sincere efforts of the government and the cooperation of the poor. Everyone is developing together. The Center and the states are working together to alleviate poverty. Women are becoming millionaires through the Pradhan Mantri Awas.
Prime Minister Modi said that PM Awas is the first step towards alleviation of poverty. This is a symbol of the government’s commitment to instill faith in the villages and the poor. When the poor sleeps under a pucca roof, then he will be able to concentrate on his children's education and other works with confidence. Our government has provided pucca houses to 2.5 crore poor families in the country, of which 2 crore houses are in rural areas. More than 30 lakh PM Awas have been approved in Madhya Pradesh, out of which more than 24 lakh have been completed. Backward tribes like Baiga, Sahariya and Bharia who had never even thought of owning a pucca house anytime, have also got pucca houses in the state. For this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his government deserve to be congratulated.
Prime Minister Modi said that water is being supplied to more than 6 crore families as a relief to women in the country. Today, 50 lakh families in Madhya Pradesh are very near the stage when they too would have water supply through pipes. We are committed to provide drinking water to every rural household through taps.
Prime Minister Modi said that the homeless poor should be assured that everyone will get a pucca house soon. A provision has been made for the construction of 80 lakh pucca houses in the country this year which will benefit lakhs of families of Madhya Pradesh also. So far, more than Rs.2 lakh crore has been spent in this scheme. The government stands with the poor through thick and thin, and is working shoulder to shoulder with them. Development works continued even during the Corona period. The government is extremely sensitive towards the poor. Free vaccine and ration is being made available to them.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has been extended for the next 6 months. Today, due to war a new crisis is arising on many types of economic systems. War has adversely affected the economy today, but efforts are being made that it should not affect the citizens of India.
Prime Minister Modi said that our government is dedicated to the poor, works day and night for them. Our aim is to make sure that every government scheme reaches 100 percent of the eligible beneficiaries and their homes. Our intention and policy is to give benefit to the bottom most person. Names of 4 crore fake beneficiaries was removed from the ration scheme. They were usurping the rights of the poor. To prevent theft of ration, modern machines have been installed at the ration shops. The fake game has been stopped.
Prime Minister Modi said that we will not limit the rural economy to agriculture only. Our policy is for holistic development of villages. Economic activities will not be limited to villages or on land. Drone technology will be used in agriculture. Our government is giving ownership of property to the villagers through Swamitva Yojana. In Madhya Pradesh, more than 50 thousand villages have been surveyed and ownership rights have been entrusted to 3 lakh persons.
Prime Minister Modi said that Madhya Pradesh has done remarkable work in procurement of food grains leaving behind other states. More than 13 thousand crore have been given by the Madhya Pradesh government to 90 lakh small farmers to meet small expenses.
Prime Minister Modi said that it is our duty to give something to the coming generation and be an inspiration for them. For this, let us all take a pledge that by the next Years Chetra Pratipada, 75 Amrit Sarovars should be made in every district of the country. These ponds should be new and big. The benefit of MNREGA scheme can be taken in their construction. It will play an important role in environmental protection and promotion. Prime Minister Modi wished everyone a Happy Nav Samvatsar.
Prime Minister Modi is the messiah of the poor: Chief Minister Chouhan
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the messiah of the poor. The Prime Minister Modi, who brought a new dawn in the lives of the poor, has conducted griha pravesh of five lakh twenty five thousand beneficiaries of the state today. A provision of Rs 10 thousand crore has been made in the next year's budget in Madhya Pradesh to ensure that all the poor have their own pucca houses. By the year 2024-25, no poor will live in a hut, everyone will have a pucca house. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government would provide pucca house to every poor. For the next three years, 10 lakh pucca houses each will be built in the state. Along with the houses, toilets, cooking gas, electricity connection and drinking water are also being provided.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Prime Minister Modi has given a very big gift to Madhya Pradesh through the Rs. 44 thousand crore Ken-Betwa link project. This scheme will change the picture and destiny of Bundelkhand region. This will irrigate an area of 20 lakh acres and 41 lakh people will get drinking water. He thanked Prime Minister Modi for the approval of this project and on behalf of the people of the state invited him to visit Madhya Pradesh for laying the foundation of the project.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that natural resources are for everyone. Every poor in the state will be given his due. Our government is first of all a government of the poor. Arrangement of bread, house, medicine, education and employment is being ensured to every poor in the state. The Central Government has extended the duration of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana till the month of September. Now poor families will get 5 kg ration per person free of cost till the month of September. Also, under the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojna, 5 kg ration per person will be given at the rate of Re 1 per kg.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government is arranging free education for the poor. The government is also paying fees for professional courses in higher education. Under the Ayushman scheme, the poor are being given treatment facility in private hospitals up to Rs 5 lakh in a year. Employment is also being ensured to every person. Employment Day is celebrated in every district every month. In this, employment, self-employment opportunities are provided to a large number of persons.
Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to the people present to celebrate one day every year as the Gaurav Diwas of their village and city. On this day, the government and the people together take a pledge to take forward their region. He said that Chhatarpur district's Gaurav Diwas would be celebrated on June 2, the birth anniversary of Maharaja Chhatrasal.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that on the call of Prime Minister Modi, 75 Amrit Sarovars will be built in each district of Madhya Pradesh by the upcoming Gudi-Padwa. He appealed to the people of the state to participate in this important work. Also, ensure to get corona vaccination of 12 to 14 year old children.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi conducted virtual Griha Pravesh of 5 lakh 21 thousand beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana. Chief Minister Chouhan dedicated and performed Bhoomi-Pujan of development works worth Rs. 56 crore 60 lakh. These included dedication of 33 crore 26 lakh and Bhoomi-Pujan of 23 crore 34 lakh. The programme began with Kanya Pujan by Chief Minister Chouhan. A short film focusing on the progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state was also screened in the programme.
Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Panchayati Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Virendra Khatik, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Prahlad Patel and Union Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti virtually participated in the programme. Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Science and Technology Omprakash Sakhlecha, Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare (Independent Charge), Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes Welfare Department (Independent Charge), Panchayat and Rural Development State Minister Ramkhelawan Patel along with public representatives and officials were present in the programme.
