CM Chouhan congratulates street vendors who paid their loans on time
Bhopal 08 April 2022: Efforts made to improve the economic condition of small businessmen in Madhya Pradesh have been successful. While the beneficiaries are being benefited from loan schemes through employment fairs every month, the schemes to upgrade the business are becoming the basis of economic prosperity of small businesses. More than 5 lakh vegetable vendors, fruit sellers, tea and snack carts, pani puri stalls, toy sellers have been successful in growing their business in the state.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated more than 1 lakh 37 thousand such beneficiaries of PM Swanidhi, who have got the eligibility to take loan again after paying the loan of Rs 10 thousand received from banks on time. Now these beneficiaries have become eligible to take loan of up to Rs 20 thousand. Chief Minister Chouhan has also wished for continuous growth in the business of these beneficiaries.
Government had given support at the time of crisis
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only pulled out the urban street vendors from economic crisis during Corona period by launching the PM Swanidhi Yojana, but also facilitated their self-employment by providing them loans without interest. In fact, during the Corona period, when the economic crisis had increased, the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments realized the problem of street vendors in the direction of self-reliance.
45 thousand beneficiaries get eligibility to take loan again
It may be noted that 1 lakh 37 thousand 42 urban street vendors in Madhya Pradesh have repaid a loan of Rs 10 thousand on time to the bank under PM Swanidhi Yojana. Out of these, 45 thousand 413 street vendors have been re-approved loan of Rs 20 thousand. Madhya Pradesh is leading in the implementation of this scheme. Not only this, Mukhya Mantri Gramin Path Vendor Scheme has also been implemented in Madhya Pradesh. In view of the economic problems of small businessmen during the Corona period, working capital of Rs 10 thousandwas provided to rural street vendors without interest, which became the economic basis for them.
Beneficiaries benefitted across the state
PM Swanidhi Yojana has come as a boon for self-employment of street vendors of urban areas. The beneficiaries of the scheme have been benefited in each district. Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in the implementation of the first and second phases of the scheme.
