Bhopal 11 April 2022 : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that our culture is water culture and ponds are an integral part of our culture. Water has had a special significance in Indian culture for thousands of years. Our great rulers built ponds, wells, stepwells in their states. Today it is our duty not only to preserve them but also to carry forward that tradition.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that as per the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this year more than 5000 Amrit Sarovars will be built in the state. Their work will be completed by the month of June this year or by the month of March next year. Rs 350 crore plan has been made to save 10 thousand old ponds in the state. For water conservation, the work of conserving a large number of small water structures will also be done.
Chief Minister Chouhan today launched Jal Abhishek Abhiyan at Jal Sansad organized in Kahula village of Garatganj tehsil of Raisen district. He virtually launched 5 thousand Amrit Sarovars in 52 districts of the state and 10 thousand works in Pushkar Dharohar Samridhi Abhiyan. Chief Minister
Chouhan also released the Mukhya Mantri Jal Shakti Abhiyan Ayojana. He honored three out of 551 water warriors who built ponds in their fields for water harvesting. Chief Minister
Chouhan also administered oath to everyone in the Jal Sansad to save water.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is necessary to save water in order to save the earth. Natural imbalance is being caused due to excessive exploitation of ground water. If water exits we exist, without water no one will exist. Our biggest duty is to stop the rain water and increase the water level of the earth by planting more and more trees. We must make people aware about water conservation. In order to procure everyone’s cooperation in this work, a massive Jal Abhishek Abhiyan is being launched in the state from today.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that pipelines are being laid in the state to provide water in every household through taps. In the coming two-three years, every household will have access to tap water. Water has reached 48 lakh houses in the state from taps so far. In the coming time, water will be supplied to more than one crore houses through taps.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that today every panchayat of the state is involved in this programme. I request everyone with folded hands to join the Jalabhishek campaign to save water in your village. In this work, Jan Abhiyan Parishads, social organizations, all panchayats, self-help groups and all other sections should contribute. The coming two months are very important to work in this direction. All of you must take a pledge that you stand with the government in this noble work of water conservation and water promotion.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that planting trees is also very necessary to save rain water. I plant a tree every day, you must also plant a tree at least once in a year. Trees bring good rain and they also raise the ground water level. Chief Minister Chouhan said that every village and every city's Pride day should be celebrated. On this day everyone should take a pledge to save water, plant trees and maintain cleanliness.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the honour of women is the honour of the state. Minor girls (Kanyas) are Goddess, they must be honoured. I will not let anyone cast an evil eye on daughters. On May 2, Ladli Laxmi Day will be celebrated across the state. At present there are a total of 43 lakh Ladli Laxmis in the state. Marriages will be organized in the state from March 21 under Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Anganwadi centers should be run properly in every village. Everyone should make efforts to end malnutrition in children. He called upon farmers to take out atleast 25 kg of food grains for Anganwadis. Chief Minister
Chouhan said that the wheat of the state is going abroad, due to which farmers will get good income. Villagers should cooperate to make the villages drug free.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that ration, house, education, health etc. is being ensured to every poor in the state. Every year Samman Nidhi of Rs 10 thousand is being given to small farmers. Electricity bills of the poor during the Covid period have been waived. Housing is being provided to every poor through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna and Chief Minister Awas Bhoomi Adhikar Yojana. Medhavi Vidyarthi scheme for education has been restarted.
Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary said that water conservation and water promotion works have been started in a big way in the state today under the leadership of.

For this, Employment Day is being celebrated every month in the state.
