Eminent Actor Ali Basha and Other Personalities Honoured In Telugu Samagam
Bhopal 16 April 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Telugu speaking people also play an important role in the progress of Madhya Pradesh. This society has the characteristic of being harmonious, which is also rich in the field of literature and culture. Here poetry has a higher place than prose. Kuchupudi dance is a wonderful art. Also Tollywood that is Telugu cinema has a special place in Indian cinema. Its language, culture and traditions are rich. We all were enthralled by the movie Bahubali. Telugu filmmakers are known to all the people of the country.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the programme on the occasion of Telugu New Year "Ugadi" at "The Grand Shubharambh" at Hoshangabad Road, Misrod today. At the event, eminent talents of the Telugu language, including the renowned comedian of hundreds of Telugu and other films Ali Basha, were honoured. The programme was jointly organised by Telugu Samagam Hyderabad, Balaji Bhakt Mandali Bhopal and Telugu Cultural Council Bhopal. Telugu Samagam President and senior leader T. Muralidhar Rao, Home and Jail Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Padmashri Darshanam Mogulaiah, Founder of Bhagavad Gita Foundation L.V. Gangadhar Shastri, B.R. Naidu, P. Narhari were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Telugu speaking people have made a special contribution in the completion of development works as well as infrastructure projects like Narmada-Kshipra link project in Madhya Pradesh. Not only this, B.R. Naidu who was Vidisha collector many years ago, did the work of saving my life after the accident. Secretary of Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises P. Narhari has done the work of organising employment fairs with great diligence in the last three months. Chief Minister Chouhan said that unity in diversity is the identity of our country.
Our traditions are different yet India is one. Basically we all are one. Muralidhar Rao also addressed the programme. He said that after Hindi, Telugu is the most spoken language in India. Apart from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other states also have a sizeable Telugu population. Rao warmly welcomed the Chief Minister Chouhan and other guests.
Talents honoured
At the beginning of the programme, Chief Minister Chouhan was welcomed according to the tradition of Telugu society. Chief Minister Chouhan honoured the personalities and various Telugu speaking talents present in the programme. The organising institutions also felicitated Chief Minister Chouhan by presenting floral garland, angavastram and illustrated citation.
