Complete works of Mahakal Corridor by May end: CM Chouhan

Discussion held on priorities and flagship schemes of public welfare
 
Bhopal 25 April 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the works of Mahakal Maharaj Corridor being developed in Ujjain should be finalized and completed soon. In view of the launching of Mahakal Maharaj Kshetra Extension Scheme by the Prime Minister, all arrangements should be ensured by the month of May. Chief Minister Chouhan held a meeting with senior officers in Mantralaya today and discussed the preparations made by various departments in connection with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Madhya Pradesh. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains besides senior administrative officers were present.

In meeting with the Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi on April 23, Chief Minister Chouhan told that he has invited the Prime Minister to dedicate the Mahakal Corridor. He is coming to Ujjain in the month of June for this purpose. Along with this, meaningful discussions have also been held with the Prime Minister regarding various welfare schemes in Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister was also informed about Madhya Pradesh’s startup policy, creation of Amrit Sarovar, diversification of crops, oilseeds development, efforts made for export of Sharbati wheat of Madhya Pradesh to other countries, and initiatives taken for the promotion of natural farming. Concerned departments should be proactive in implementing these priorities and other flagship schemes.

Madhya Pradesh is ahead in implementing the concept of Gaurav Diwas of cities and villages

Chief Minister Chouhan said that celebration of Gaurav Diwas of every village and city has been started in the state. Citizens are also extending cooperation in the development of villages and cities. In this direction, events like heritage walk will be organized to educate the new generation about the history, local traditions and cultural aspects of the city. In cities like Bhopal, Indore, institutions are also doing the work of conservation of heritage. Such activities should also be taken up in other districts of the state.

Make necessary preparations for Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD)

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (Non-Resident Indian Day) is organized every year on January 9. In collaboration with the Government of India, Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas will be celebrated in Indore this year, in which NRIs will come from the countries of the world along with the members of Friends of M.P. This will be an international level programme, which will establish the image of Madhya Pradesh in the world. The invited representatives will also visit the tourist places of the state. Before the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, a two-day Investors Summit is also being held in Indore on January 7 and 8. With both the programmes being organised together its importance will also increase. All necessary preparations should be completed to add to the magnificence of these programmes.

Promotion of national language Hindi in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is preparing and implementing medical education curriculum in Hindi this year for the promotion of national language Hindi. This will be a unique step taken in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Chouhan said that public servants should keep making efforts for capacity building all the time and work with the spirit that there is always room for improvement. Recently, member of the Capacity Building Commission, R. Balasubramaniam also visited the state. Surely Madhya Pradesh will make a special identity in this area as well.
