CM Chouhan Planted Neem and Karanj Saplings

Resident Committee and Journalist Dhanotia Also Planted Saplings
Bhopal 02 May 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Neem and Karanj saplings along with the members of Shivlok Greens Residents Welfare Committee in the Smart City Garden. Senior journalist and Editor Rajendra Dhanotia planted saplings in the memory of his father Late Ramchandra Dhanotia on his first death anniversary.
Dhanotia's mother Leela Devi Dhanotia and members of his family were also present.

The committee launched a campaign with the cooperation of the colony residents to make compost from wet waste in the colony and use that manure in the trees and plants and sanitation works are being done with people’s participation to maintain cleanliness. The committee has set up a sewage treatment plant in the colony and made arrangements to use the treated water received from sewage in the plants and gardens. Mohan Mishra, Upma Mishra, Rakhi Ahirwar, Pooja Patel and Ravi Shankar Goswami of the committee participated in plantation along with Chief Minister Chouhan.

Among the saplings planted today, Neem may be bitter in taste but its benefits are like nectar. Neem is also very useful from environmental point of view. Karanj is considered important in Ayurvedic medicine. Karanj is also used in religious works – Window to News
