Bhopal 08 May 2022: Governor Mangubhai Patel said that organizing AYUSH fairs in tribal dominated areas would prove useful for the rural people. He said that continuous efforts are being made by the centre and state governments to improve the standard of living of tribal families in remote areas through welfare schemes like pucca houses, electricity, and Ujjwala. The Governor said that the forest wealth of Madhya Pradesh provides ample medicine. Governor Patel was addressing the inaugural ceremony of AYUSH Health Fair in Paraswada today. He also appreciated the AYUSH fairs and yoga practice demonstration by the students of Government Ayurveda College, Jabalpur.
Recalling the days of his early political career, Governor Patel said that a child had lost his life to sickle cell anemia disease in Gujarat. Distressed by this, he took the initiative of identifying sickle cell patients and treating them properly. Now emphasis is being laid to implement this work effectively in Madhya Pradesh also. He informed that 21 universities of the state have been given 5 villages each and assigned the task of conducting health check-up of families of the villagers. He said that the cure for many incurable diseases is hidden in the medicines of our forests. Governor Patel also visited the stalls and exhibition put up by the Department of AYUSH.
In his address, Minister of State Ramkishore Kanwre said that through these fairs will provide for marketing of forest medicines of tribal dominated areas. He said that the state government is providing pension facility to the families suffering from sickle cell disease in the state. To boost immunity among the general public, Trikatu churna was distributed to about 4 crore people in the state. 362 wellness centers have been developed in the state. A many as 1500 people have been employed as yoga instructors. He informed that in AYUH Gram of the state, health card of every member of each family is being made after conducting health check-up.
Chairman Backward Classes Welfare Commission and MLA Gaurishankar Bisen, MP Dr. Dhal Singh Bisen also addressed the programme. Samaru Singh and Bajari of Baiga special backward tribe were honoured for cultivating vegetables with modern method.
Governor had food at Dev Singh Uike’s house
Governor Mangubhai Patel reached Lachhitola of Dongria gram panchayat during his stay at Paraswada and interacted with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The Governor said that the dream of the poor is being realized through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He also mentioned the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme. Governor Patel had food at the house of Devsingh Uike, a beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Lachhitola.
