Beneficiaries obtaining ration through PDS must get aadhar numbers registered

Bhopal: All beneficiaries who are getting their ration through P.D.S have been asked to get their aadhar numbers registered. Distribution of ration to beneficiary families whose aadhar numbers are not registered in the P.D.S. database or are faulty will be stopped temporarily from July 2017. Food Department has issued instructions that all beneficiaries must get their aadhar numbers registered mandatorily. Out of 5 crore 35 lakh beneficiaries , the aadhar number of 3 crore 92 lakh beneficiaries have been registered till May 2017. The registered aadhar numbers are being verified.
Food Department has appealed to the beneficiaries that they should get their correct aadhar numbers registered by contacting the ration shop/district food office/local unit.-WTN
