Criterion of registration of coaching institutes, fees, hostel facilities to be fixed

Bhopal: Rules will be made to fix criterion by the state government for quality and other facilities including registration of coaching institutes, fees fixation and basic infrastructure. Compliance of these rules will be insured. Efforts will be made that these rules are implemented from the month of January. Similarly rules will be made by fixing criterion for facilities for hosteliers. Madhya Pradesh will be the first state for making such rules. This information was given by School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah at a meeting held in Indore Collector office.

School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah said that it is the state government’s responsibility to make quality and basic infrastructure facilities available in coaching institutes for students. He said that the state government’s effort is to ensure that students and guardians do not have to face any difficulty related to coaching institutes.

Mentioning the Supreme Court’s directives Minister Shah said that rules to regulate coaching institutes will be made in Madhya Pradesh. The rules will have provision to regulate fees, basic infrastructure, upto the mark teachers etc. in coaching institutes.

Minister Shah said that similar rules will be made for hostels being run in different cities. He said that running tuition and coaching classes in the premises of any educational institution is not permissible and in case anyone is found guilty of running coaching class or tuition classes in the premises, their recognition will be terminated. He urged those running coaching institutes and hostels to give their suggestions for making of rules and fixing respective criterion. He said that suggestions for making rules and fixing criterion will be taken from educationists, social workers, public representatives, guardians, students, mediapersons etc. A division-level meeting will be held in this connection.-WTN
