Farmers need not worry, onions, other produce will be purchased by them

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said to the farmers that every grain of their produce will be purchased. Every onion will be purchased and they will be paid its beneficial price.

Chouhan today told farmers that the government was a government of farmers and is working for them. Madhya Pradesh is the only state which has decided to purchase onion at Rs 8 per kg so that the farmers get its beneficial price. He said that this time there has been bumper crop of onions. There is an all round inflow of onion at the purchase centres. Transport is a big problem and a challenge but farmers need not worry. Each onion will be purchased. He urged them to be calm and patient and extend support. He said that farmers are being given tokens.

Chouhan said that a check would be kept on selfish elements. Those who are fulfilling their selfish interest in the name of farmers will be checked. Farmers are getting much better price. Moong, Urad and Tuar is being purchased. There is a lot of difference in the market rate and purchase price of crops like moong. Still government is showing courage and will buy the entire moong and urad from the farmers. He asked them to keep calm and be patient. He urged them to bring clean moong to the purchase centre because if it is not cleaned and they try to get it measured at the purchase centres, they may find it difficult to get the price for it.

Urging farmers to extend support to the outside employees and states engaged in the purchase arrangement Chouhan said that they should make the arrangement themselves. Every grain will be purchased from them. Extend full support. We shall overcome the situation. Farmers will get beneficial price.-WTN
