Huge prospects for employment in micro, small and medium enterprises

Bhopal: Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Independent Charge) Sanjay Satyendra Pathak said that micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have huge prospects of employment. MSMEs have important contribution in increasing growth rate in the state and the country. Pathak was speaking at the International Day for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management.

Minister of State Pathak said that policy should be framed for promotion of MSMEs. He said that our country-state has different identity. We should not compare with countries like China. China is ahead in technology but he is laggard in credibility. Pathak said that small industries can get production jobs from major industries. The government is making efforts in this direction. He said that industrialists are being encouraged through Industry Promotion Board. Three meetings of the board have already been held. Pathak said that workshops should be held at an interval of every 15 days to inform traders about GST.
 
Chief Commissioner of Customs, Central Excise, and Service Taxes (Bhopal zone) Hemant Bhatt informed about GST. He said that this is a very simple system. Former president of CII CP Sharma delivered welcome speech. Principal Secretary of MSMEs department VL Kantharao and representatives of different industries federations were present on the occasion. Discussion was held in different sessions on efforts being made by the state government for promotion of MSMEs and GST.-WTN
