Efforts will be made to make state first in rural development

Bhopal: Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargava has said that Madhya Pradesh will be the first in the rural development, efforts will be made in this regard. He said that the state performed the best in Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana and Sadak Yojana. Remote villages of the state have been connected with main roads. The state is moving towards progress because of development of villages. Minister Bhargava was addressing one-day conference of Panchayat Raj ministers in hotel Jahanuma Palace today.

 Minister Bhargava said that Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar is familiar with the ground realities of rural environment. The works of rural development have improved considerably during tenure of Tomar. He said that the Union Government has doubled the fund under the 14th Finance Commission last year and it should remove dearth of fund for development of villages.

 Minister Bhargava said that innovation has been done in the field of rural development in Madhya Pradesh. Now, information regarding development works at village level is being collected through video conference with district panchayat, janpad panchayat twice a month. He said that we would now hold video conference at panchayat level in which information will be taken by interacting with sarpanch and secretary and it will accelerate development works. Bhargava suggested that all states should follow the system of video conference from state for rural development works. He said that all panchayats have been connected with e-panchayat system in the state. Initiative is being made to reach this modernisation at village level.

 Minister Bhargava said that the conference is a platform wherein Panchayati Raj ministers of many states participated for discussion on innovations about rural development of their state. He said that he welcomed all from the state and department.

 Minister of state for Panchayat and Rural Development Vishwas Sarang said that the concept of India is not possible without development of villages. He said that this conference will help a lot in strengthening and decentralization of development works at Panchayat.

 Union Minister of state for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Purshottam Bhai Rupala, Panchayat Raj ministers Jupali Krishna Rao (Telangana), Rajendra Rathore (Rajasthan), Omprakash Dhankar (Haryana), Nara Lokesh (Andhra Pradesh), Alo Libanga (Arunachal Pradesh), Naba Kumar Doli (Assam), Jayanti Bhai R Kewadiya (Gujarat), Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary (Uttar Pradesh), Ajay Chandrakar (Chhattisgarh), Union Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development JS Mathure, additional chief secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development, Radheshyam Julania and officers of state and other states were present in the conference.-WTN
