Government to bear Fee of Higher Education Institutes for Students securing over 75 percent Marks
Bhopal: A total of 3536 registration has been made under the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojana till June 28. Students securing 75 percent marks and above in 12th examination of Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh and students securing 85 percent marks and above in 12th examination of CBSE/ICSE will be benefitted under the scheme. Annual income of the parents of students should be less than Rs. 6 lakh. Adhaar number of students is must under the scheme. Minister of State for Technical Education (Independent Charge) Deepak Joshi has appealed to all the eligible students to get themselves registered to avail the benefit.
Engineering: Students securing ranks upto 50 thousand in JEE—Main Examination and getting admissions in government or private engineering colleges will be given assistance. Full fee of government college except mess charges and caution money will be paid by the government. In case of admission in private college, an amount of Rs. One lakh 50 thousand or actual charges except mess charges and caution money whichever is less will be paid by the government.
Medical: Benefit will be provided under the scheme on getting admissions through NEET in M.B.B.S. in either any government colleges of central or state government or any private medical college of Madhya Pradesh. Full fee of government medical college and charges payable to private college will be paid by the state government.
Joshi mentioned that doctors educated from Government College will have binding of 2 years service in rural area. They will have to fill a bond of Rs. 10 lakh. The period for students of private colleges will be of 5 years and amount of bond will be Rs. 25 lakh.
Law: Full fee of law course after 12th examination will be paid by the government on getting admissions through CLAT in any National Law University of the country.
Fee of courses i.e. B.Sc., B.A., B.Com., Nursing, Polytechnic and of all the undergraduate level courses of the state government colleges will be paid by the government. Fee of students of government colleges will be deposited in the bank accounts of the colleges. Charges payable for students of private colleges will be deposited in the bank accounts of students.
The scheme being introduced from 2107-18 academic session will be implemented by Directorate Technical Education. The scheme will be implemented through portal www.scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in
