Organise Programmes in All Districts for GST Awareness

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued directives that programmes should be conducted in all the districts as regard to GST awareness. Teams of Commercial Taxes, Finance Department and Private Experts should be sent to hold deliberations with traders and to satisfy their queries. CM Chouhan gave these directives in a review meeting held today concerning GST. Minister for Finance and Commercial Taxes Jayant Malayya and Chief Secretary B.P. Singh were present on the occasion.

CM Chouhan stated that maximum seminars in all the districts should be organized to generate GST awareness. Also cooperation from retired officers of Commercial Taxes department should be taken for this. People should be informed in detail about this progressive tax system. Minister Malayya informed in the meeting that over 700 seminars regarding GST awareness have already been organized in the state so far. Second phase of seminars is being organized from July 7.
M.P. GST Awareness App Prepared

It was informed in the meeting that a M.P. GST Awareness App has been prepared by the Commercial Taxes Department to provide information on GST. CM Chouhan released the GST App for traders and consumers of the state in the meeting. Madhya Pradesh is one the state of the country which has prepared such kind of App. Provisional I.D.s have been issued to 3 lakh 12 thousand 183 dealers of the state under the GSTN. Moreover, Madhya Pradesh is one among the first seven states of the country to initiate action for dealer migration under GST. Continuous information is being provided in the state through various means of communication as regard to the GST.
