Skill Development Centres to be made models-CM Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today met Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy. The duo held a discussion over training and upgradation of skill development centres being run in the state. Chouhan said that the Industrial Training Institutes and Skill Development Centres will be models to make the youths of the state skillful. Rudy told that in every district a Prime Minister’s Skill Development Centre will be established.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that special attention is being paid on training youths to make them skillful for self-employment and to acquire employment. At least 133 Skill Development Centres have been opened in the state. The plan is to set up a model Skill Development Centre in every district. Employment-oriented short-term training programmes will be run in these centres. He issued instructions to officials to make the proposal of training related scheme for the disabled more practical in which the centre’s assistance is expected. He urged to make arrangement for offline application to include S.C.V.T trade in N.C.V.T in state.

Union Minister of State Rudy told that in every district a Prime Minister’s Skill Development Centre will be established. At least 17 centres have already been set up in the state through which standard level of training will be imparted. He said that the fund supplied by the centre should be used for training purpose. The training should be of good quality. There will be no dearth of funds for training. He expressed the hope that effective monitoring system of small institutes will be made.
