Top Place to Mandsaur under ‘Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matratva Abhiyan’

Bhopal: Mandsaur district has secured top position in Madhya Pradesh Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matratva Abhiyan’. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mahesh Malviya will receive award in an award function to be held at Indore on July 8.
It is to be highlighted that ‘Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matratva Abhiyan’ was started in Mandsaur district on August 9, 2016. This campaign is organized on 9th of each month. The campaign ensures at least one checkup of pregnant women by gynecologist and lady doctor in second and third month of pregnancy. Qualitative services were strengthened, qualitative ANC, referral, treatment and pregnant women under high risk were included during the pre –delivery visit, necessary management of anemia, PIH, Diabetes etc. under the line listing medicinal situation was carried out and documentation of services provided was made.
Check up of 16 thousand 799 pregnant women in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matratva Abhiyan was carried out. Moreover, check up of 9739 women were carrid out during second and third quarter of pregnancy, 1159 high risk women were identified. Check up was carried out in 8 institutions of the district including District Hospital Mandsaur, Civil Hospital Garoth, Bhanpura, Community Health Centers Malhargarh, Sitamau, Suwasra, Nagri and Shamgarh.-WTN
