Three Day National Convention on Health Innovations Begins at Indore

Bhopal: Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan inaugurated three day National Convention being organized to discuss innovations carried out in the country and to share experiences and information at Indore today. Union Ministers of State for Health Faggan Singh Kulaste, Smt. Anupriya Patel, Minister for Health- Madhya Pradesh Rustam Singh and Minister of State for Health Sharad Jain were present on the occasion. Representatives of all the states of the country and Union Government governed States are taking part in the convention.

Smt. Mahajan laid emphasis for better management in government hospitals and to establish a bank for medicines besides other equipments and material. She mentioned that innovations give us energy to carry out works in better ways.

Kulaste while appreciating the health innovations carried out in the state mentioned about Women Health Camps. Union Minister of State for Health Smt. Patel expressed gratitude towards the state government for holding organized convention in the cleanest city of the country. She praised the works being carried out in Madhya Pradesh under the provisions of National Health Policy.

State's Minister for Health Rustam Singh said that continuous improvement in health services is the priority of the state government. The state government welcomes every innovation in this regard. Minister of State Sharad Jain apprised about facilities like SNCU, free cancer chemotherapy and free dialysis services. Secretary Health Union Government C.K. Mishra mentioned that innovations are significant for immediate improvement in important indexes.

Awards

Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare awarded several states for better health services in the programme. Andhra Pradesh bagged first award besides second and third award was secured by Gujarat and Daman-Diu respectively for providing better services in government institutions. Gujarat, Punjab, Jharkhand and Dadar –Nagar Haveli bagged first, second, third and fourth awards respectively for providing additional health services sector. Moreover, Jammu and Kashmir besides West Bengal were awards for maximum decline in child mortality rate. At the same time Assam and Himachal Pradesh secured first and second award respectively for best implementation of revised tuberculosis control programme.

Kaya Kalp awards of Madhya Pradesh government were also honoured in the programme. Bhind and Tikamgarh bagged first award while second award was honoured to Satna and Shivpuri and third award to Khandwa.

Guests dedicated new 128 ambulances under the free 108 ambulances services of Madhya Pradesh. These fully equipped ambulances will take place of 5 years old ambulances of districts. The ambulances were dispatched to the prescribed districts after the dedication.
