Finance Minister Malaiya in Bharatiya Kisan Sangh programme
Bhopal: Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya said that state government has done several works in the interest of farmers to make farming a beneficial profession in state. Loan on zero per cent is being made available to farmers for agricultural work in state. There has been over five-time hike in irrigation rakba. Earlier 7.5 lakh hectare area was irrigated, but now the irrigation rakba has been increased to 40 lakh hectare.
Finance Minister Malaiya was addressing a Krishak Sammelan of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh in Damoh Krishi Upaj Mandi on Monday.
Finance Minister Malaiya said that significant achievement has been made in the power sector in the last 13 years. Earlier power production was 4500 MW which has now increased to 17,000 mw. Farmers are being given adequate power for agriculture.
MLA Lakhan Patel said that this year 13 lakh metric tonne wheat has been purchased on support price. Earlier hardly 2 lakh metric tonne wheat could be purchased from farmers. District Cooperative Bank President Rajendra Guru also addressed the programme.-WTN
