More than 20 Percent Average Rainfalls in 8 Districts of Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: More than 20 percent average rainfall has been recorded till July 18 in 8 districts of Madhya Pradesh during monsoon season this year. There are 33 districts in the state which have recorded average rainfall whereas less rainfall took place in 9 districts where -20 to -59 percent less rainfall has been recorded. Agar Malwa district of the state has stand under the scanty rainfall category where -60 percent less than average or more has been recorded.

Districts in which average rainfall has been recorded include Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Chhatarpur, Sidhi, Singrauli, Umaria, Indore, Dhar, Jhabua, Khargone, Burhanpur, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Shajapur, Morena, Bhind, Guna, Ashoknagar, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Hoshangabad, Harda, Betul and Alirajpur. Districts which have recorded less rainfall include Balaghat, Dindori, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dewas, Sheopur, Gwalior, Shivpuri and Bhopal. The districts which have recorded more than average rainfall include Katni, Tikamgarh, Rewa, Satna, Badwani, Khandwa, Ratlam and Datia.-WTN
