Amendment in general election schedule for civic bodies of scheduled areas

Polling now to be held on August 11
Bhopal: Minor amendment has been made in general and by-election schedule for civic bodies of scheduled areas and tri-tier panchayats. Polling will now be held onAugust 11. Earlier, polling was announced to be held on August 9. Counting will be held on August 16 on the place of August 12. The counting will begin at9 am. Rest of the programme will be the same as announced earlier.
Secretary, Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission, Smt Sunita Tripathi informed that minor amendment has been made in the election schedule on the request of some tribal organisations due to World Tribal Day on August 9.-WTN
