Over 620 Crore Payment to Producers Against Purchase till Date
Bhopal: A total of 2 lakh 97 thousand 132 metric tonne Moong, Urad, Arhar and Masoor has been purchased on minimum support price in the state. An amount of Rs. 620 crore 58 lakh has been paid to the producers against a purchase of these pulses crops worth Rs. 1528 crore 65 lakh.
A total of One lakh 72 thousand 21 metric tonne moong worth Rs. 918 crore has been purchased from this quantity. An amount of Rs. 349 crore has been paid to the producers against the purchase. Similarly, a payment of Rs. 20 crore 15 lakh has been made to the producers against purchase of 17 thousand 521 metric tonne urad worth Rs. 89 crore. Moreover, a sum of Rs. 191 crore has been paid to the producers against purchase of 87 thousand 810 metric tonne arhar worth Rs. 443 crore 44 lakh. Further, a payment of Rs. 60 crore 43 lakh has been made to the producers against purchase of 19 thousand 780 metric tonne masoor valued Rs. 78 crore 21 lakh.
It may be mentioned that moong on MSP of Rs. 5,225, urad on MSP of Rs. 5000, arhar on MSP of Rs. 5050 and masoor on MSP of Rs. 3950 per quintal has been purchased in the state.
Sowing of Kharif Crops
As of today the sowing of Kharif crop is satisfactory in the state and target of sowing can be achieved. Kharif crops has been sowed in 93 lakh 86 thousand hectare area till today. This area was 96 lakh 28 thousand hectare during last year as of today. A target of 130 lakh 48 thousand hectare area has been estimated for sowing kharif crop in the state. As of today soybean has been sowed in 40 lakh 12 thousand hectare area in comparison to 49 lakh 70 thousand hectare area last year. Similarly, urad has been sowed in 13 lakh 67 thousand hectare area compared to 7 lakh 95 thousand hectare area last year. In the current year, paddy has been sowed in 9 lakh 58 thousand hectare area in comparison to 9 lakh 11 thousand hectare area last year. Moreover maize has been sowed in 11 lakh 61 thousand hectare area in comparison to 11 lakh 92 thousand hectare area last year. Beside this cotton in 5 lakh 57 thousand area has been sowed till today this year in comparison to 5 lakh 24 thousand hectare area last year.-WTN
