Solar Power to Illuminate 20 Thousand Aaganbadi Centers

Bhopal: At the initiative Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis, 20 thousand aaganbadi centers will be illuminated with solar power in cooperation of UN Women organization and New and Renewable Energy department of the state. Arrangement of one fan and light will be made in aaganbadi centers by installing solar power panel and battery set. This decision was taken in the meeting of Women and Child Development and Renewable Energy departments.
Over 2500 aaganbadi centers were upgraded under the Adarsh Aaganbadi Yojana earlier by the Women and Child Development department. The aaganbadi centers will have more facilities through solar power. Principal Secretary Women and Child Development J.N. Kansotiya, Principal Secretary and Managing Director Urja Vikas Nigam Manu Shrivastava, Commissioner Women Empowerment Smt. Jaishree Kiyawat and Commissioner Integrated Child Services Smt. Pushpalata Singh were present in the meeting.-WTN
