MoU signed for augmentation of SHG under Tejasvani project

Bhopal: In the presence of Woman and Child Development Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis, an MoU was signed between State Woman Finance Development Corporation and NABARD for augmentation of Self Help Groups under Tejasvani project. Managing director of the corporation Smt Jaishri Kiyawat and Chief General Manager of NABARD K.R. Rao signed the MoU.

 For nurturing self help groups, NABARD is extending full support to state government agencies, banks voluntary organisations. The purpose of Tejasvani project executed by State Woman Finance Development Corporation is to form self-help groups and provide livelihood opportunity, continuing connect with them.

 NABARD will consider applications submitted under the scheme of the finance development corporation for sanctioning fund, entrepreneurship training, grant for rural market for sale of products of self help groups. Both the agencies will take initiative in keeping digital records of groups through new financial system like Bank Sakhi of members of self help groups, e-Shakti project for encouragement of self help groups in Tejasvani project.
 
Woman and Child Development Minister Smt. Archna Chitnis said that NABARD has achieved international reputation by conducting effectively development oriented works. She said that more than 16000 self-help groups are working in Tejasvani project. Smt. Chitnis expressed hope from NABARD to work for augmentation of self-help groups under Tejasvani project in all districts including Panna, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Balaghat, Mandala and Dindori.

 Chief General Manager of NABARD K.R. Rao expressed pleasure over progress of work in Tejasvani project.

 Apart from this, progress between the year 2007 and 2017 was reviewed in Tejasvani project. Principal Secretary, Woman and Child Development, J.N. Kansortiya, programme director of Tejasvani project Smt. Nidhi Nivedita and district programme managers of Tejasvani rural woman empowerment programme were present in the meeting.-WTN
