English language training to over 15,000 govt. school primary teachers

Training being given with the help of British Council of India
Bhopal: Training of English language is being given to about 15 thousand 130 teachers of Government Primary Schools. The programme has been set by the School Education Department in partnership with UNICEF, British Council of India and Rajya Shiksha Kendra.
In the pilot project of the training of the teachers, all districts of Ujjain division and Sehore district has been chosen. The aim of the programme is to create interest towards English language, encourage child-oriented activities, develop language skills, speaking in English with children in class and teach English through games in a fearless environment.
Selected teachers who have been trained in English language through the programme include 2345 from Ujjain, 2519 from Ratlam, 2419 from Mandsaur, 1536 from Neemuch, 1988 from Dewas, 1522 from Shajapur, 826 from Aagar and 1976 from Sehore district.
The master trainer selected from DIET and government schools of the state by the British Council are imparting training to the teachers in English language.-WTN
