Benefit of Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojana to be provided to 12th Passed Students of 2016

Bhopal: Benefit of Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojana is being extended to the students who have passed 12th examination from Board of Secondary Education securing 75 percent marks and above and 85 percent marks and above from CBSE in the year 2016 also. It may be mentioned that the students who have passed 12th examination in 2017 were availing the benefit of the scheme.

Amendments have been made to extend benefit of the scheme to the maximum number of students. To avail benefit of the scheme, annual income of the parents should be less than Rs. 6 lakh. Adhaar number of students is also mandatory under the scheme. Such students who do not possess adhaar number are required to present adhaar number within 3 months.

Engineering - Students securing up to 50 thousand rank in JEE Mains Examination will get benefit of the scheme on getting admissions in government and private engineering colleges. Full fee of Government College (Except Mess Fee and Caution Money) will be provided by the government. As regard to fee of Private college. A sum of Rs. One lakh 50 thousand or actual fee (Prescribed by Fee Committee Except Mess Fee and Caution Money) whichever is less will be borne by the government.

It has been clarified that if admission is given on the basis of separate entrance examination in any engineering college and if students secure rank under the 50 thousand rank then they will be entitle for benefits under the scheme. Government colleges include all government aided colleges and all the government colleges.
Benefit to BDS Students

Medical -Benefit of the scheme can also be derived by the students getting admissions through National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) for M.B.B.S./B.D.S. courses in any government medical/ dental college of the state or any private medical/dental college of Madhya Pradesh Fee payable will be paid by the state government.

Such institutions under the NEET or Government of India which gives admissions on the basis of their own examinations are included in the scheme.
Students educated from government medical/dental colleges will be bound to render service for a period of 2 years in rural area and they are required to fill a bond of Rs. 10 lakh. Whereas,5 years' period is mandatory for students of private college besides a bond of Rs. 25 lakh.

Law- Fee payable for the course of the students getting admissions in any National Law University of the country after 12th examination will be borne by the state government. Moreover, fee towards all the graduation programme or integrated post-graduate programme being conducted in institutions of government of India situated in the state will be paid by the state government.

Fee towards all the courses like B.Sc., B.A., B.Com., Nursing, Polytechnic and all the under graduate courses of all the colleges of the government will be paid by the government. Under the scheme, admission fee in the form of fee payable to various institutions for under graduate courses and Actual fee (Except Mess Fee and Caution Money), the fee which has been fixed by fee regulatory committee or Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission or the State Government only will be paid. Fee of government institutions' students will be deposited in the bank accounts of the institutions. Fee payable to private institutions will be deposited in the bank accounts of the students.

The department after getting approval from competent authority can include the cases of BPL card holders up to the annual income limit of Rs. 6 lakh, students of SC/ST category as special case who are not coming under the scheme owing to prescribed conditions.

It is necessary for the students to complete the course/subjects within the prescribed time period of the institution admitted in other wise they will not get benefit of the scheme. In case of student availing benefit of any scheme of state or union government, the student will be entitled to receive the difference of the amount. Parents of students who will be benefited under this scheme can deposit the amount given by the government voluntarily in the fund constituted by Madhya Pradesh government to help other students.
