Daily review of prevention of swine flu, dengue and chikangunia

Bhopal: A daily review for effective control on swine flu, dengue and chikangunia in state began from today. In a meeting chaired by Principal Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare, officials of Urban Administration, Public health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and AYUSH Department gave information about the efforts being taken to control these diseases.
During the meeting, Department of Urban Administration was instructed to form adequate number of larvae survey and destruction teams, AYUSH Department was instructed to distribute homoeopathy medicines in malaria high-risk districts and Department of Medical Education was told to make adequate arrangement of doctors, equipments and swine flu treatment in all medical colleges in the state. Swine flu, dengue, malaria and chikangunia could be controlled due to the promptitude of the departments last year.
Out of 49 suspected patients of H1N1 (Swine Flu) found in state from July 1 to 31, six are reported positive and reports of 3 samples are awaited. While two patients are currently undergoing treatment in government hospital, one is being treated in a private hospital. During this period, 21 patients from 7 districts have been diagnosed with dengue. One of these patents is under treatment. However, no case of death from dengue or chikangunia has been reported from July 1 to 31, 2017. No patient of chikangunia is undergoing treatment in any of the hospitals in state.-WTN
