CM Chouhan Meets Union Minister Tomar

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan deliberated with Union Minister for Urban Development Narendra Singh Tomar about Metro rail Project being undertaken in Indore and Bhopal cities at New Delhi today. Chouhan informed that work for Metro rail project is being carried out in two cities of the state i.e. Indore and Bhopal. He urged the Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar that Gwalior and Jabalpur cities should be included under the proposed new policy of Metro Rail Project. He further informed that metro is a necessity for future. Gwalior and Jabalpur both have more than 20 lakh population. Chouhan further said that the process to prepare D.P.R. will be undertaken by the state government shortly.

Deliberations on water problem emerged in Gwalior city also took place in the meeting. Expressing concern over this problem, the Union Minister Tomar said that this problem should be rectified at the earliest. He suggested that water should be stored in Tigra Dam lifting it from Chambal river for its supply to Gwalior city. Giving consent on this, Chouhan issued directives to the senior officers of the state government for immediate action in this matter. Minister for Urban Development and Housing of Madhya Pradesh Smt.
