Sufficient oxygen cylinder in hospitals in state

Bhopal: Sufficient oxygen cylinders are available in stock in all government hospitals. Over 700 oxygen concentrators are available in hospitals apart from this. No shortage of oxygen has been reported in any government hospital so far. This information was given in review meeting taken by commissioner health. This review meeting was held after children's death in Gorakhpur hospital due to shortage of oxygen cylinders in Uttar Pradesh.

 Director, health services, has issued instructions to ensure availability of oxygen cylinders in suffient number in all hospitals and health institutions to regional health directors, chief medical and health officers and civil surgeon-cum-hospital superintendents. They have been asked to continue supply of oxygen and not to create shortage of oxygen in any hospital.-WTN
