Officers should be eveready to enhance image of Police

Bhopal: Police officials and employees honoured with the President’s medal during the 71 st Independence Day Ceremony today met Governor Om Prakash Kohli at Raj Bhavan. Director General of Police Rishi Kumar Shukla, Principal Secretary to the Governor Dr. M. Mohan Rao and senior police officials were present on the occasion. The Director General of Police introduced the police officials and employees to the Governor.

Congratulating the officials and employees Governor Kohli said that the identity that they should be eveready to enhance the image they have established. The foremost priority for the police officials and employees must be to serve the common man and help people in need and should always ensure to fulfil their responsibility. He said that anti-national forces should be completely suppressed. Also, it should be ensured that injustice is not done with those found not guilty, so that the public feels safe. Governor Kohli said that police should take constant steps to improve law and order system. They should also maintain mutual coordination with the public.

On this occasion, Director General of Police Rishi Kumar Shukla said that at least 25,000 houses are being constructed in all the police units in 5 phases under Chief Minister’s Police Housing Scheme. So far 37 thousand 885 posts have been approved from year 2010 until now in the context of phase wise rise of increased forces. Total 82 new police stations, 133 new check posts and 13 tourism check posts have been set up. Help is being provided more than 29 lakh people through Dial-100 to ensure prompt police assistance in the state. This scheme has been awarded FICCI-Smart Policing Award-2017 and Hexagon Icon Award – 2016.-WTN
