First phase of Tourism School Quiz on August 19

Bhopal: The Tourism School Quiz will be organized simultaneously in all districts of the state on August 19. The first phase quiz will be organized at the district level in which 18,000 students from around 6,000 schools have got themselves registered. The Quiz is being organised in Model Higher Secondary School in T.T. Nagar in Bhopal. In the first phase, after the written test from 10 a.m. the audio-video round will be organized at 2 p.m. Preparations are being made to ensure that the quiz takes place smoothly and systematically.

Know, understand and see

Secretary to the Chief Minister, Tourism and M.D. of Tourism Board Hariranjan Rao reviewed preparations of the Tourism Quiz in all the districts through video conferencing. Shri Rao said that school students should try to know, understand and see their state and district through this quiz for which they are being given every opportunity. This is an innovation of the Tourism Board to take the message of tourism to the families through children. The state level quiz contest winners will be awarded on September 27 on World Tourism Day. Free coupons will be given to them for a tour round the tourist spot. The book of the tourism quiz held for the first time last year has been designed. It will be made available in the library for students.

Additional Managing Director Dr. Shrikant Pandey also gave guidance to the nodal officers during the video conferencing.-WTN
