Send talented SC/ST students to National Sports Training Academy

Bhopal: Talented students of scheduled caste-tribe category should be encouraged and for further training they should be sent to the National Sports Training Academy next year. Minister of State for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Lal Singh Arya gave these instructions during the departmental review. Principal Secretary S.N. Mishra, Commissioner Smt. Deepali Rastogi and Director Adivasi Vitta Vikas Nigam Smt. Renu Tiwari were present at the meeting.

Campaign through social media

Shri Arya instructed that the achievements of the department should be publicized on a wide scale. Apart from advertisement and hoarding, now there is need to publicize the achievements of the department and information about the schemes through social media. Shri Arya said that the children should be given necessary training in the art of time management. He said that children should be given training in other essential subjects also. The Minister of State said that individuals who have emerged from the lower strata and who are working in prestigious institutions worldwide or are running small or big industries, should be discussed with children so that their confidence rises and they get new opportunities to nurture their talents.

Minister of State Arya said that the women adivasi groups should be connected to the departmental schemes according to the speciality of each district. The vacant posts should be filled through the candidates of Baiga, Saharia and Bhariya tribe on the Class IV backlog. A probe must be conducted into the institutes getting grants within a month.

Around 2.5 lakh forest rights pattas distributed

It was told at the meeting that 2 lakh 44 thousand 755 pattas were distributed to forest right holders of the state. This includes 2 lakh 17 thousand 245 personal and 27 thousand 510 community pattas. At least 255 master-trainers were prepared through IIHM to give training in the districts.-WTN
