71st Independence Day Celebrated in Madarsas of State

Bhopal: The 71st Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in 4750 Madarsas of the state. Chairman Madarsa Board Prof. Syed Imaduddin participated in Independence programme held at Burhanpur. Office Bearers of the Madars Board and children undertook padyatra at Burhanpur.

It may be mentioned that Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board is rendering help to improve education quality in Madarsas. Modern education is being imparted to the students pursuing studies in 4750 madarsas of the state. About 2 lakh 50 thousand students are pursuing studies in these madarsas. About 20 thousand teachers are engaged with educational activities in these madarsas. An assistance of Rs. One lakh to each madarsa has been provided for establishment of computer lab in madarsas conducting classes till 8 class in the state. Moreover, an amount of Rs. 70 thousand to each madarsa has been provided for science education and library. The assistance has been provided to these madarsas under the 'Scheme for Providing Quality Education in Madarsa' of the Union Government.

At the urge of the Madarsa Board on July 2, plantation at wide scale was carried out in the campuses of government aided madarsas. Chairman Madarsa Board expressed his gratitude for organizing patriotic programmes on the occasion of Independence Day and towards the office bearers of the board for strengthening patriotic sentiments.-WTN
