Two-day global conclave on drug regulation in Bhopal from today

Bhopal: An international conclave on “Best practices in drug regulation” is being organized in Bhopal on August 21 and 22. Union Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare Faggan Singh Kulaste, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Rustum Singh and Minister of State Sharad Jain will also be present. The conclave will commence at 9.30 a.m. at Hotel Courtyard Marriott under the joint aegis of Department of Public Health and Family Welfare, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) and World Health Organisation.
The conclave aims at strengthening drug regulatory system at the national and regional levels, effective implementation related to drugs and medical equipments, bringing uniformity in the working style of various states and ensuring availability of quality drugs and medical equipments at reasonable prices for all.
Among those taking part in the conclave include Secretary, Joint Secretary Drug Controller General of the Central Health Ministry, Principal Health Secretaries and Drug Controllers of all states besides top officials and experts of World Health Organisation posted in India.
Drug Control Departments of all states will be connected through e-conference for the broadcast of the conclave. The link http://webcast.gov.in/cfdamp has been made available through webcast and webinar to connect all beneficiaries of different states. Beneficiaries who are unable to be physically present in the conclave will be able to connect to it and their queries too would be answered.
