Haryana Labour Minister lauds MP’s schemes and programmes

Bhopal: Haryana Labour Minister Nayab Singh Saini today met Labour Minister Om Prakash Dhurve at the latter’s residence accompanied by officials and discussed various issues. Principal Secretary Labour Ashwini Rai and other officials were present.

Haryana Labour Minister Saini lauded the Chief Minister’s Labour Protection Scheme and other schemes and programmes launched for welfare of labourers in Madhya Pradesh.

Taking interest in the concept of Pandit Deendayal Shramoday Vidyalaya, he urged to send the detailed information of the project to Haryana government. The copy of the presentation given on Shramodaya Vidyalaya was presented to Haryana Labour Minister Saini.

Labour Minister Dhurve told Haryana Minister Saini that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Medhavi Chhatra Yojana to arrange for the payment of fees of students who secure more than 75 per cent marks in state for their higher education in state. Also he said that the Labour Department is providing facilities like scholarship etc. for children of registered labourers to pursue studies from Class 1 to college education. Shramoday Vidyalayas are being initiated in Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Bhopal to create an atmosphere like a Public School better than Navoday Vidyalaya for good educational facilities for students. Children of labourers will be provided with free residential facilities in these schools. Bhopal’s Shramodaya Vidyalaya will commence from 2018-19 academic year.

Durve told that in the first year students will be given admission in Class 6thto 9th. Children of registered labourers of Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Rajgarh and Sehore districts will be eligible for admission in Bhopal Shramodaya Vidyalaya. Their admission process is being started soon. The Labour Mnister told that Madhya Pradesh is the first state to establish such Shramodaya Schools.

Labour Minister Dhurve gave detailed information about the various programmes and schemes being run for welfare of labourers in Madhya Pradesh. He also took information about the schemes and programmes being implemented in Haryana for labourers.-WTN
