Rs 2 Lakh to Khatouli rail mishap deceased victims from MP

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to grant Rs. 2 lakh to the relatives of the passengers who died in the rail accident in Khatouli Uttar Pradesh and Rs 50,000 to those seriously injured. Expressing grief over the rail accident, the Chief Minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished them speedy recovery. He issued instructions to make proper arrangement for treatment of the injured victims.

It may be recalled that the Utkal Express had met with an accident last Saturday evening at Khatouli in Uttar Pradesh. Several passengers from Madhya Pradesh were also travelling in the train. Ten passengers of Gwalior and Morena districts died in the accident while 71 passengers were seriously injured including passengers from Gwalior, Morena and Anuppur. While 6 passengers of Gwalior and 4 from Morena died, 46 of Gwalior, 26 of Morena, 2 of Anuppur and three others were injured.-WTN
