Bhopal: Minister for woman and child development Smt Archana Chitnis said that sufficient posts are there in police department for women after reservation to women. For imparting training for police recruitment test and physical fitness, arrangements are being made by the department at district level. Smt Chitnis gave this information in a workshop of field officers of the department in Vidhan Sabha today. She said that efforts are being made in the entire state to promote the use of mud Incinerator for disposal of sanitary napkins under menstrual management.
Used sanitary napkins are a major cause of dirt and spread of disease. For its economical disposal, discussion is underway with Matikalan Board for developing mud incinerator and ensure their easy availability and registration of potters is being made at district level.
Principal Secretary, woman and child development department, JN Kansotiya, commissioner, integrated child development project, Smt Pushpalata Singh and commissioner, woman empowerment, Smt Jayshree Kiyavat were present in the workshop held in Vidhansabha campus. Addressing 423 project officers of entire state, principal secretary Shri Kansotiya said that maintain special sensitivity in monitoring Aganwaris. Operation of Aganwari is core service of integrated child development project. It was informed in the workshop that tablet and data pack are being provided to supervisors for Aganwari monitoring. The functioning of the mobile app was demonstrated on the occasion.
It was informed in the workshop that provision to introduce concept of 'Aganwari Didi' is being made to improve learning level of children enrolled in Aganwari and to provide them pre-school education. This responsibility will be given to 12th passed girl of Aganwari area. Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Shaurya Dal, One Stop Center, Special Nutrition Campaign, Nutrition through Lalima and Panchavati Program, National Crèche scheme and Integrated Child Protection Scheme were reviewed point-wise in the workshop.-WTN
