RERA Registration is Must for New Projects and New Home Loans

Bhopal: Chairman Real Estate Regulatory Act (RERA) Antony De Sa said that banks should make it mandatory to demand RERA registration for new projects taken up after May 01, 2017 and in new home loan applications. De Sa said that bank should ensure in the home loan cases sanctioned before the date of section-3 of the RERA Act came in effect from May 01, 2017 that the promoter has applied for the registration number or not. This has been clarified to the banks by the RERA so that financial crisis should not hamper the progress of the under constructed real estate projects unnecessarily.
It may be mentioned that RERA has apprised Ajay Vyas, the Coordinator of the Lead bank through a letter in this regard.-WTN
