Adopt Multi Crop Cultivation to Double the Agriculture Income

Bhopal: Minister for Forest Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar has told farmers to adopt advance manure, seeds, technology and multi crop cultivation to double their agriculture income. Dr. Shejwar stated this at the programme titled ‘Sankalp se Siddhi’ organized at Krishi Vigyan Mela, Naktara in Raisen district today.

Dr. Shejwar mentioned that the farmers should adopt horticulture, animal husbandry and fisheries also to increase their income. The farmers will have to face the financial crisis if the crops are damaged due to unfavourable climatic conditions. He appealed to the farmers to get the soil tested of their agriculture fields. To get maximum yield, select crop, manure and seeds on the basis of the report.

Moreover, Dr. Shejwar said that farming should be carried out only after consulting agriculture officers and scientists keeping in view the current ground water level, select crops accordingly so that it do not get damaged due to lack of water. He called upon the farmers that they should make constant efforts to realize the goal of doubling the income of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Farmers should derive benefits of Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme. Dr. Shejwar also inspected the agriculture exhibition on the occasion.-WTN
