Coaching to be available to 800 SC students in national-level institute for admissions

Bhopal: Scheme to impart coaching for ensuring admission in national level technology, medical, law institutions and selection in National Defence Academy (NDA) examination is being introduced this year. Coaching will be imparted to 800 students every year in four cities - Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior.
More than 11 thousand beneficiaries benefited under Chief Minister's self-employment and economic welfare scheme
More than 7 thousand beneficiaries have been benefited in the Mukhyamantri Swa-Rojgar Yojana in the year 2016-17 through Scheduled Caste Welfare Department. The scheme has a provision of loan of up to maximum of Rs 10 lakh and a grant of up to Rs 2 lakh. In this financial year, 7 thousand beneficiaries will be provided assistance of Rs 70 crore for establishment of different businesses.
4106 Scheduled Caste beneficiaries were benefited for the establishment of new enterprises under Mukhyamantri Arthik Kalyan Yojana last year. For this, financial assistance of Rs 5 crore 47 lakhs was provided. This year, 4000 beneficiaries will get financial assistance of Rs eight crore. In Chief Minister Skill Upgradation Training Scheme, 5135 youths of Scheduled Caste were trained and 3115 youths were provided employment in different industries and self-employment to 182 youths.
152 groups benefitted under Savitri Bai Phule SHG scheme
152 groups were benefited under Savitri Bai Phule Self-help group scheme for setting up business through self-help groups of scheduled caste women. A loan of Rs 3 crore 18 lakh and a grant of Rs 128 crore was given to 1028 beneficiaries of the groups. 1945 hostels are being run to provide educational and residential facility to Scheduled Castes students. Through this, more than 97 thousand students are getting residential facility.
New design of hostel buildings finalised
New design of hostel buildings has been finalised. Now in every room of the hostel, two to three students will be kept on place of 8 to 10 students. In each hostel, the facility of water filter, TV, computer, internet, dining table, study table and fix furniture will be provided. This year, 55 new hostel buildings will be constructed.
360-seat hostel building, 21 additional class rooms and 7 sports complexes will be constructed in Gyanoday Schools being run at divisional headquarters. Currently, 15 scheduled caste students are studying abroad by getting benefit of Foreign Studies Scholarship.-WTN
