Bhopal: The price difference between market price and support price of crops will now be deposited directly to the accounts of farmers. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made this announcement for farmers at a massive programme held for distribution of Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Fund Certificate at Chanderi tehsil headquarters in Ashoknagar district. He announced to give Rs 1.5 crore each for drinking water infrastructure development to Ashoknagar and Chanderi Nagar Palika. He also said that the Ashoknagar District Hospital will be made of 200-bed capacity and the capacity of Chanderi Hospital will be increased from 30 beds to 100 beds. He distributed Rs 130 crore worth crop insurance fund certificates to 33,555 farmers at the programme. Chouhan laid the foundation and dedicated 55 construction works worth Rs 126 crores.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government is a well-wisher of farmers. Farmers should not worry about anything. He said that this year the rain scenario is not seemingly good in the state which has become a cause for concern for farmers. He assured farmers that the Madhya Pradesh government was standing with them in every condition. If the scanty rainfall situation affects the soyabean crop, the government will conduct a complete survey, he said.
Government will not let the farmers bear with any loss. Government will get the price difference between market price and support price directly to the farmers’ accounts. He instructed the district administration to maintain correct record of the crops of farmers. The Chief Minister also gave details about schemes like providing loans to farmers at zero per cent interest, providing 90 percent grant on solar pump installation etc.
The Chief Minister said that homeless families will be provided houses cent per cent by the year 2022. He said that youngsters of the state need not worry about their education. The fees for college education of outstanding students of all categories apart from the general poor category who secure 75 per cent in 12th Board and 85 per cent in CBSC and ICSC, will be borne by the state government. He said that a special campaign has been launched to solve revenue related problems of farmers.
The administration has been instructed to settle all cases related to undisputed land transfer, demarcation and property distribution within three months and in case of any pending cases found after the said period, the complainant beneficiary will be awarded Rs 1 lakh while this amount will be recovered from the concerned officer.
District Minister in charge and Minister for Public Service Management, Public Complaints Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, Agriculture Development and Agriculture Welfare Minister Gaurishankar Bisen, MP Prabhat Jha, Ashoknagar MLA Gopilal Jatav and public representatives were present during the programme.-WTN
