CS chairs state-level drought monitoring committee formation

Bhopal: The state government constituted a state-level drought monitoring committee and Crop Weather Watch Group chaired by Chief Secretary. This committee constituted as per Drought Management Manual 2016 will carry out the evaluation work of drought by obtaining the date from science and technical institutes and all information related to drought.

There are 18 members of the committee. Principal Secretary Revenue and Commissioner Relief will be member secretaries of the committee. Members include Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Economic Statistics, Additional Chief Secretary Energy, Principal Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare, Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development, Principal Secretary Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development, Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Environment, Principal Secretary Public Health Engineering, Principal Secretary Public relations, Principal Secretary Water Resources, Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Commissioner Land Records, Director Meteorological Department, Bhopal, Director Central Ground Water Commission, Director ISRO and Director Remote Sensing Centre.-WTN
