CS Singh reviews drought relief and drinking water situation

Bhopal: Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh today reviewed the drought relief and drinking water situation in state in a video conference of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Singh instructed the collectors to render topmost priority to the drinking water availability. He told the collectors to send the proposal of drought relief and its preparations in view of the district’s rainfall status after September 30.
Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Radheshyam Julaniya said at the video conference that adequate funds will be made available to district panchayats for drinking water arrangements. All collectors should organise District Water Committee meetings. Principal Secretary Revenue Arun Pandey instructed collectors to organise meeting of the drought relief committee.
Principal Secretary Public Health Engineering Manoj Govil, Principal Secretary Water Resources Pankaj Agarwal, Divisional Commissioner and District Collectors were present at the video conference.-WTN
