276 applications for medical and 1298 for engineering in CM Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana

Bhopal: Total 24179 applications were received under Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana. Out of these, 276 are for medical course, 1298 for engineering, 45 for law, 31 for courses run in SPA and IIM, Indore, 125 for Polytechnic course and 22,404 for graduate course being run in state.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Technical Education Deepak Joshi told that so far 11608 applications have been verified by various institutes. The process of approval of fee payment is in progress. Along with this, 1216 cases of students have been approved.
Those students who secure 75 percent in Class 12th exam conducted by Board of Secondary Education and 85 percent or more in CBSE and ICSE will be benefitted under the scheme. It is however compulsory for the annual income of the student’s guardian to be less than Rs 6 lakhs.-WTN
