Make Better Integrated Referral Transport System

Bhopal: Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Rustam Singh has issued directives to the company Jigitsa Health Care which is running the Integrated Referral Transport System in the state for providing best services. It may be mentioned that under the Integrated Referral Transport System 108 Ambulance, Janni Express, Deendayal Mobile hospitals and 104 Health Helpline services are being provided by central integrated call center. At present, 606 Deendayal -108 Ambulances ( 556 Basic Life Support and 50 Advance Life Support), 735 Janni Express and 144 Mobile hospitals are operational in the state.

The Deendayal -108 ambulances have been purchased by the state government and have been provided to the organization. A trained technician and a driver are always available in each ambulance every time. Each Janni Express has one driver. Janni vehicles have been provided on contract with the local operators.

Minister Singh informed that Deendayal Mobile Hospitals are being run in the identified blocks of 43 districts of the state by Jigitsa Health Care including 89 tribal, 47 scheduled caste dominant and remote areas beside 8 provided from the Member of Parliament Fund in Vidisha parliamentary constituency. Each Mobile Health Unit consists of one doctor, lab technician, ANM and a driver provides services with the coordination of Asha and health workers at block and village level.-WTN
