Madhya Pradesh Tops for Constructing Maximum Houses under the Scheme
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan honoured the beneficiary who constructed the most beautiful house of the country under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme and state’s a one lakh beneficiary today. Congratulating both, Chouhan mentioned that they are an inspirational source for other beneficiaries. He expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing the scheme for the welfare of the poor. It may be mentioned that Madhya Pradesh tops in the country for constructing maximum houses under the scheme.
CM Chouhan honoured presenting a cash reward of Rs. 11 thousand each to Ballu Dhaniram Yadav of village Budela district Damoh who is a one lakh beneficiary of the state and Ramkrishna Tiwari of village Salaiyya district Umaria who constructed most beautiful house of the country under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme at CM House today. While praising their works, Chouhan congratulated them. Moreover, he said that example has been set that better houses can be built by the beneficiaries.
Furthermore, Chouhan said that provision of houses for poor is the key point of the poor welfare agenda of the government. Prime Minister Housing Scheme plays an important role in this. Expressing happiness, he stated that maximum houses have been constructed for poor in Madhya Pradesh under the scheme. A target has been set to construct 3 lakh houses till October end and 7 lakh houses till the year end.
Total one lakh 15 thousand 689 houses have been completed in the state till date. A total of 7 lakh 62 thousand 328 houses have been sanctioned under the scheme. Financial assistance of Rs. One lakh 20 thousand is provided for house construction besides toilet to the beneficiary and 90 days labour under the MNREGA.
Expressing contentment, both the beneficiaries said that their families are at convenience owing to the pucca house. Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development R.S. Julaniya and Principal Secretary to CM S. K. Mishra were present on the occasion.-WTN
