Governor appeals to make “Swachhata hi Seva” campaign a sucess

Bhopal: Governor Om Prakash Kohli has appealed to the people of the state to ensure their active participation in making the “Swachhata hi Seva” campaign being run in the country by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from September 15 to October 2, 2017 a success. Kohli said that the campaign mainly aims at making the environment pollution-free.

Governor Kohli said that under the “Swachhata hi Seva” campaign, urban and rural residential areas, business and industrial establishments, state and central government offices, offices of corporation and boards will be cleaned. People defecating in the open would be advised against the practice. Kohli said that the Prime Minister took the decision to launch “Swachhata hi Seva” campaign to spread Mahatma Gandhi’s message of cleanliness.

Kohli stressed on the efforts to generate awareness among students and youths towards cleanliness under the campaign in various schools, colleges and universities of the state between September 15 and October 2, 2017. He said that to ensure this, various competitions including essay writing, painting etc. should be organized in the institutions. The Governor has called upon government employees, teachers and public representatives to make the campaign a success.-WTN
